Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has committed his long-term future to Stamford Bridge and has claimed he would be happy to stay as long as Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

Ancelotti won the Premier League and FA Cup double in his first year in charge at Chelsea and the 51-year-old Italian had initially planned to end his career in 2000, but is now enjoying life so much he claims he is happy to stay in London for many years to come.

“I don’t know when I will finish my career,” he said.

“When I started my career in 1995 I said five years is enough so my idea was to close my career in 2000.

“Now it is 2010 and I have to say I love this job, I’d love to stay here at Chelsea and I would like to stay here.

“I would be happy to stay as long as (Sir Alex) Ferguson at Manchester United.”

Given that Ferguson has been in charge at Old Trafford since November 1986, Ancelotti has some way to go before emulating the United supremo.
