Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Man Utd want Bruma.

Manchester United have set their sights on £3m-rated attacker Bruma and will look to use their close ties with Sporting Lisbon to beat Liverpool to his signature, according to the Mirror.

The report claims the newly-crowned Premier League champions have been hugely impressed with the 18-year-old after having him regularly scouted in recent months and Sir Alex Ferguson is now believed to be lining up a £3m offer.

Bruma has already attracted interest from the Premier League with the Mirror suggesting that Liverpool have regularly sent scouts to run-the-rule over the exciting forward, while Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also understood to be keeping tabs on him.

However, the newspaper claims United are confident they can lure him to Old Trafford and will look to use their close relationship with Sporting Lisbon to secure a deal after previously signing Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani from the Portuguese outfit.

Sporting would no doubt be keen to hang on to one of their most promising youngsters but may be forced to sell to help ease their financial difficulties, and it seems Bruma won’t be short of offers from England if he fancies trying his luck in the Premiership.
