Rio Ferdinand struck a late winner in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final game in charge at Old Trafford as Manchester United beat Swansea City 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
United opened the scoring just before half time when Javier Hernandez fired home a lose ball in the box following a van Persie free-kick but Swansea levelled when Michu flicked home with a deft touch shortly after the break. However, with the 90 minutes almost up, defender Ferdinand smashed home at the far post to ensure Fergie signed off with a win. Watch the goals here:
