Wenger Dampens A Good Week With Some Bad News For Arsenal Fans

Lukasz-Fabianski-Arsenal

Written by Fab4.

It seems Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has really lost it. We all saw it, every Arsenal fan, Tottenham fan, pundit, everyone who watched Spurs vs Arsenal on Tuesday saw Lukasz Fabianski make yet another error that resulted in us conceding a goal. This time Fabianski got a full hand to Robbie Keane’s shot but failed to prevent it crossing the line, it was a relatively routine save and considering how much he got on the ball, the keeper should certainly have kept it out. But Wenger continues to bury his head in the sand and claim it wasn’t his fault.

Nothing seems to be Fabianski’s fault. Error after error but every time Wenger comes out with excuses for the Pole. Some of the excuses have foundation, like the blackburn game at the end of last season when he was barged by Samba as he headed the winner. But how on earth can Wenger say the following words with a straight face??:

“You can’t blame him for that goal because he touched it and when a goalkeeper touches the ball you always think he should stop it,” said Wenger

“But if he dives and doesn’t touch it nobody speaks about it.

“First of all, the goal was offside and apart from that I think he had a sound game.”

WHAT? Two things Arsene. The fact Keane was offside is irrelevant, Fabianski didn’t know that. And secondly, yes you can blame him for the goal, he got a full hand to it and the ball practically squirmed under him. You are defending the indefensible on this occasion.

I am all for supporting Arsenal players but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade, and Fabianski is a spade! It seems every time he makes a mistake, which is often, Wenger comes out and defends him saying he is ‘a world class talent’. What ballocks.

He is nowhere near a world class talent, but i tell you who is……Wojciech Szczesny! And you are on the verge of pushing him out the club because you keep persisting with Fabianski. Give it up! He will NEVER make it at Arsenal, he doesn’t have the mental strength or the ability. Get rid and promote Szczesny to Almunia’s understudy and play him in the Carling Cup.

But we all know Wenger will continue to play Fabianski on some rogue mission to prove everybody else wrong, and we all know it’s going to cost us at some point this season. Then the bad news will come that Arsene is backing his error-prone No.2 once more. Will a lesson never be learn’t?
