With the summer transfer window set to open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Arsenal are keen to land Barcelona youngster Antonio Sanabria while Manchester United are scouting Salih Ucan.

Arsenal eye Sanabria

First up and the Mirror are reporting that Arsenal are trying to snatch another promising youngster from Barcelona’s youth academy after making a move for striker Antonio Sanabria.

The report claims the Spanish giants are desperate to hang on to the 17-year-old but the Gunners are trying to lure him to north London with the promise of big wages and being fast tracked to the first team.

The Paraguayan youth international is one of Barca’s most promising youngsters and has caught the eye with a string of impressive display’s in their youth team, while he’s also seen his reputation enhanced further with some excellent performances at this summers Under-20 World Cup.

Of course Arsenal have previous when it comes to raiding Barcelona’s youth team with the most famous case being Cesc Fabregas, who moved to north London when he was just 16 and went on to become captain the club before being sold back to the Catalans in 2011. Could Sanabria be next? We’ll have to wait and see….

United scout Ucan

Next up and the Daily Star claim Manchester United are scouting highly-rated Fenerbache starlet Salih Ucan – who’s got a £17.1m buy-out clause in his contract.

The Turkish youngster has recently broken into the Turkish giants first team and scored 4 goals in his 24 appearances last season.

It seems the midfielder has caught the eye of Premier League champions Man Utd with manager David Moyes sending his scouts to keep an eye on the 19-year-old at this summers Under-20’s World Cup.

However, United will have to dig deep if they want to bring Ucan to Old Trafford as the Star claim his buy-out clause is set at £17.1m and Fener are understood to be keen to hang on to him and won’t do business for anything less than that figure.
