Man Utd Yet To Submit Formal Offer For Alcantara, Claim Barcelona

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Barcelona insists they haven’t received any formal offer for Thiago Alcantara.

Barcelona insists they are yet to receive any formal offer for Thiago Alcantara despite reports claiming the midfielder is set to join Manchester United, according to Sky Sports News.

The 22-year-old has been tipped to leave the Nou Camp this summer in search of regular first team football and Sky Sports suggest United as well as Champions League winners Bayern Munich have been strongly linked with the midfielder in recent weeks.

Reports earlier this week suggested that a deal to take him to Old Trafford was close to completion and the youngster could even be a United player by the weekend. However, when approached by Sky Sports on Friday, Barcelona revealed that they are yet to receive any formal offer for Alcantara.

“We still have not received any formal offer for the player.”

The report claims Barca sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta met with the players agent and father, Mazinho, on Thursday and told him the club wanted a final decision over the players future made within 10 days. It’s understood the Catalans are desperate for him to stay but will be powerless to prevent him leaving should a club meet his reported £15m buy-out clause.

Alcantara is due to return to training after his superb display at this summers European Under-21 Championships, where he helped guide Spain to yet another trophy.

With the likes of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas all ahead of him in the pecking order, Alcantara made just 15 starts for Barca last season so it’s easy to see why he may feel his chances of first team football are limited at the Nou Camp and he may therefore have no option but to leave in search of regular playing time.

Which news to be considered to be from the right source! We are just reading news from different sources. Please, stop giving us fake news if you are not sure of what you are saying, we are tired of all these rubbish. But I don’t know what is wrong with man u when it comes to signing of players, they are acting to slow as if they don’t have the financial at all. Man u, please, do something before it is too late. We need Thiago so much.

Moyes should bring Thiago and possibly Strootman before the preseason tour if he is really serious.
