Higuain ‘Determined’ To Push Through Arsenal Move Despite Ancelotti Planning Talks

By on July 8, 2013

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, more on Arsenal’s move for Gonzalo Higuain.

Gonzalo Higuain is still determined to push through a move to Arsenal despite boss Carlo Ancelotti wanting to hold talks with the striker next week to try and persuade him to remain at Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

In what’s becoming one of the transfer saga’s of the summer, Higuain’s protracted move to the Emirates has taken a number of twists and turns in recent weeks. Initially it seemed as though a deal had been agreed, then we heard he was coming to London for a medical, then Madrid denied a deal was in place saying we’d not even submitted an official offer, and now it appears Ancelotti wants to keep hold of the striker.

Spanish newspaper AS are reporting that the Italian boss wants to hold talks with the 25-year-old when the players return to pre-season training on Monday 15th July with the hope of persuading him to remain at the Bernabeu and fight for his first team place.

However, the report claims that Higuain is ‘determined’ to leave in search of regular first-team football and wants his agents to try and push through a move to the Emirates by the end of the week so he can avoid having to return to training and hold talks with Ancelotti.

It’s another interesting ‘twist’ and it will be a huge boost if true. Having Higuain wanting the deal done quickly can only work in Arsenal’s favour, so hopefully his agents make his wishes clear to Madrid and we can finally get a fee agreed with them.

The Arsenal squad fly out on our pre-season tour of Asia on Friday so with any luck the Argentinean international could be on the plane with his new team mates. Fingers crossed….

Please just shut d f*ck up if you dont have anything to say. Wots Wenger’s fault in this? His agent/brother/father cleared the air last week that RM had given them permission to speak with Arsenal. Why are RM trying to block the move now? Why holding talks with him when they culd have done this before they agreed that his agent shld meet with Arsenal?
Think before you right anything and stop throwing stones anyhow.

An Arsenal insider has made it clear there are problems inside the club. The infrastructure is getting in thevway of chasing more than one player at a time. Also it is now definite that no bids have been made for David Villa, Higuain, Jovetic. It is said that the tactic was to make us think we were bidding big for players. It seems now large and long contracts are being avoided by Wenger. That is why they will buy Gareth Barry on a one year contract. That is your marquee signing folks… Gareth Barry 32 years of age. Michael Sylverstre number two.

for me i think this Higuain deal is realy takin our time and if we put all our hopes on him we might lose out on him and b4 we get back to other strikers dey would be long gone d likes of Jovetic and rooney,so i tink its better we focus on Jovetic…pay d Fee of 27million Pound and foget about Higuain..we steil need William, fellaini, richard Rooney and Cesar julio

I think the problem is the arsenal board , they want to continue making money not minding if we the fans are happy or not they just continue toying with our feelings and even made us a laughing stoke in the presence of other team surporters …. Shame on wenger

Dear runs and Gooners, since 7 years ago we are being mistreated mindly by AWenger. If their bosses don’t want trophies and don’t recognize how AW is killing the Team Arsenal, then it is a desaster. Yesterday in London we were almost 50 arsenal fund and life supporters of arsenal we decided not to pay tickets due to the every day’s des appointment of the team and Giroud/Wenger. It has been really a very big shame. So you too do the same to avoid heart threat.

You don’t have to blame them for what they are doing
, To me I will blame the fans that to the stadium to watch the match bay expensive ticket for hole season with out getting value for there money let them leave the stadium for wenger and the so called board to keep the club to them self, there greedy and selfish .

Every transfer window we are linked with top drawer names. No one at Arsenal denies this as it looks light we are looking to sign big stars and that takes the pressure of for a while. In reality we sign u19 players that no one has heard of but ‘show potential’ for small fees.

    Whose fooling who?

At the end of the day the board are lining their pockets with our money.

They want people to purchase season tickets at the highest price on the back of rumours to buy stars put about probably by someone at the club.

The get ticket sales and then can deny that at no stage did someone from the club say they were going to buy Higuain, Fellani, Rooney, Saurez, Fabrigas etc…

They just let the rumours run.

I think we need to find the source of all these rumours.

Who are the people who are close to the club who are announcing the potential deals. I suggest someone at board level is playing us (the fans).

my opinion is that Arsenal fans have been very lucky in general with quality of football we have watched whilst Arsene has been in charge. the transition from Highbury was always going to be difficult and as a fan it has been. losing of best year after year has not been easy but we cant blame that on Arsene you cant really scout a players morality or honour to club that gave them the chance. but these players have served a purpose and hopefully the worst of any money restraints are behind us. So we can now push on and regain our rightful place at the top of the PL and UCL. buy quality now and sell or release the players who don’t measure up.
