Suarez Confirm’s He’ll ‘Study’ All Offers To Leave Liverpool In Search Of Trophies

By on July 14, 2013

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Luis Suarez once again speaks out on his desire to leave Liverpool.

Luis Suarez Liverpool

Luis Suarez has once again hinted that he’s ready to leave Liverpool after confirming he’ll study all offers that come in for him as he looks to join a club competing for the Premier League and Champions League, according to Sky Sports News.

The Uruguayan has been hitting the headlines again this summer after expressing his desire to leave Anfield following another controversial season in England that saw him banned for 10 games for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.

Despite initially claiming he’s become disillusioned with life here and he seemingly wanted a move abroad, the 26-year-old appears to have changed tact and the BBC reported last week that during talks with Ian Ayre and Brendan Rodgers, the players’ agent Pere Guardiola made it clear his cleint simply wanted to join a club playing in the Champions League and may even be prepared to remain in England.

Suarez has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks with the Gunners understood to be lining up an improved bid having had a £30m offer rejected by Liverpool, but Spanish giants Real Madrid remain the bookies favourite’s to sign him this summer.

Now, Suarez has been speaking again and has once again refused to rule out the idea of remianing in the Premier League, saying he’ll ‘study’ any important offer that comes in for him but reiterated his desire to leave Liverpool in search of challenging for top honours.

“If I receive an important offer to progress my career, I will study it. Some clubs have asked about me but I hand questions over to my agent. I am no stranger to rumours.

“I always want to improve. That’s why I left Ajax for Liverpool.

“But this club needs to fight to enter the Champions League and, when it doesn’t happen, it damages the morale of any player. So I’ve suffered.

“It is hard to view the Premier League every week with never a chance of winning it.

“On top of that, the English media do not understand me. The controversies with (Patrice) Evra and (Branislav) Ivanovic were decisive. There are always extra questions when people analyse me.

“After the Evra incident, it was very difficult to convince people about the ‘real’ Luis Suarez. Things had improved but then the incident involving Ivanovic was another blow.

“Had that not happened, perhaps I would have been regarded as the best Premier League player last season.”

These latest comments will come as another blow to Liverpool, with Brendan Rodgers recently telling talkSPORT that he’s desperate for the striker to remain at Anfield. However, it appears the player has his mind set on a move and with him refusing to rule out a move within the Premier League, the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are going to continue to show their interest.

Could either one manage to lure him to London, will he end up at Real Madrid, or will Liverpool manage to hang on to him? Only time will tell but this transfer saga looks like it could run right until the end of the window.

Come on guys…it’s change tack not “tact” when you mean a change of direction. It’d be impossible for Suarez to change “tact” as he clearly doesn’t possess any. I do feel for him though and how he’s “suffered” due to missing out on the CL. I mean let’s forget how the club and fans have “suffered” by standing by him, he’s hurting the poor thing.

Suarez is a very good player which Chelsea can afford any price tag on him. But he laughed their link off cos they are responsible for his Ten match bound. So Arsenal if at all they have tabled any bid, stands the better chance of getting him.

suarez is no doubt a good player, but my fear for his coming to chelsea is, dat might giv him the chance to bite off ivanovics head this time around, like in the vampire movie (true blood).

To be candid, suarez is a good player but my personal advice for him is to go abroad,i mean out of england.cos if he continue playing in epl,he will be getting boos evrywhere he goes bcos of what had happened in d past.

Mr. Suarez, Yes LFC can’t win the premier, They can’t guarantee u champions league, but the way u a following ur intended exit from LFC is too unprofessional to come from a world class player. So if u a one(world class player) kindly submit ur transfer paper and let this whole uncessary issue end. Remember, HE WHO BETRAYS MUCH WALK ALONE.

      D. J. Cole you are quite right, with Soarez in, they will be best of friends afterall Ivanovic had accepted his apology. Mou will have options upfront, also want fans to watch their use of words when making comments. Blues 4life.

hi Suarez… Just hand a transfer request and move on.. So the fans are not in loop to either support u or to forget u… if ur saying ‘liverpool is struggling at the moment’ it is bcoz of twats like u.. U open ur mouth too often then being on the pitch whenever needed.. inspite of all the support all the bans all the controversies.. U throw back at ur own people, just leave in good terms by saying u want champs league this year and we will understand.. Don’t argue the case, by saying liverpool is struggling and all that sh*t…
