Liverpool Transfer News: Chirivella Deal Agreed | Boss Eyes £20m Bid For Swiss Winger

By on July 15, 2013

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest Liverpool transfer rumours. Today, the Reds have agreed a deal with Pedro Chirivella while Brendan Rodgers also eyes a £20m move for Xherdan Shaqiri.

Chirivella deal agreed

First up and the Mirror are reporting that Liverpool have agreed terms with Pedro Chirivella over a move to Anfield but the Reds are prepared to let a tribunal agree a fee after Valencia demanded £3.5m for the youngster.

The 17-year-old is regarded as one of Spain’s most exciting young talents but with him still on a youth contact, the Mirror claim Liverpool have swooped in and agreed a four-year deal with the midfielder and he’ll now be heading to Merseyside this summer.

The newspaper also reports that Valencia are demanding £3.5m for Chirivella but Liverpool have so far only offered £1.5m and are prepared to let an independent tribunal decide what compensation should be paid.

Boss Brendan Rodgers has been getting his business done early this summer and while he’s largely been concentrating on strengthening his first team, it seems he’s also making sure the future looks bright by snapping up one of Spain’s hottest young properties.

Rodgers eyes Shaqiri

Next up and the Metro are reporting that Liverpool are prepared to pay up to £20m in order to sign Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.

The Swiss international has struggled to establish himself as a first team regular since making the move to Bayern from FA Basel last summer, and after missing out on the signature of Henrikh Mkhitaryan last week it seems Rodgers now has his eyes firmly set on Shaqiri.

The Metro claim the Reds are ready to open talks with the European champions over the 21-year-old and while Bayern are understood to favour a year-long loan deal, Rodgers is only interested in a permanent switch and is prepared to pay £20m to get his man.

Shaqiri will meet with new boss Pep Guardiola sometime this week to discuss his future at the Allianz Arena and the newspaper suggests the winger is expected to ask for a move if he isn’t given assurances he’ll be more involved in the first team this season, and Liverpool will be ready to offer him a fresh start in the Premier League if the player wants out.

We all fans hope that LFC can get £50million plus Gonzalo Higuin from Real Madrid. Now look like very clear that Real Madrid start playing the game to delay the transfer of Luis Suarez. They want to waiting untill last minutes the day transfer window nearly close to get cheapest fee. They know now luis suares no intention to keep playing with LFC, they come to manipulate the situation.I hope they will FAILED……Now they an extra budget of of money because this season they already miss out to sign Gareth Bale from Spurs. £85million will not effect if they can give spend £50million to sign Luis Suarez. You are not a galaticos if very stingy to sign high value player like Luis Suarez.

Liverpool should sign erikson and shaqari, if possible and also try to conviece suarez not to leave the club, but if to be sold, let it be outside england. Also the club needs a left back to support enrique

Who said Alberto and Aspas can not settle quick like Coutinho….hmmm, i quess u did not watch their debut game. Aspas is Suarez. He has what we hav missed for 8yrs. Alberto is a new dimension of attack. They are hot cake. I began to think that Sterling and Ibe are going to giv Rodgers a big time headache cos they are mighty and sweet with ball. Sterling became times two of what we saw last season. U wil get excited with me. Pls hold ur peace for we are almost there. YNWL

Leting suarez go is not the end of the world nor end of the game. Owen left, tores came. Tores left, suarez came so let him go and onother goal marchine wil enter emidiately.Pls if suarez wants to go, let him go i bet he will end worser than tores. Eriksen is more affordable and will be rhe best cause he has interest of joinin us unlike shaqiri. Pls we need a flexible n fast left fulbak to bakup enrique. Pls kelly should be given more playing time offload downing so that the likes of cotinoh, raheem who are more ambitiuos, determining, will have more playing time cause thats what the team needs.
