[Team] Liverpool vs Indonesia XI: Four New Signings All Start

By on July 20, 2013

Liverpool kick-off their pre-season preparations as they take on an Indonesian XI in Jakarta at the Gelora Bung Karno National Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Boss Brendan Rodgers has named a strong side with the clubs four summer signings – Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas – all starting for their new club. Mignolet will start in goal, Toure will play alongside Daniel Agger at the back, Alberto is given his chance in midfield while Aspas will spearhead the attack.

Captain Steven Gerrard also returns to action following a shoulder injury that kept him out of the run-in last season, while Brazilian duo Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Leiva also start and Stewart Downing gets a chance to impress on the right. Here’s the confirmed line-up.

Liverpool team

Mignolet, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Toure, Lucas, Gerrard, Alberto, Downing, Coutinho, Aspas.

Subs: Jones, Assaidi, Henderson, Spearing, Allen, Borini, Sterling, Kelly, Skrtel, Flanagan, Wisdom, Robinson, Ibe.

      BOLLOCKS!!!!
What do u do with Coutinho?????
Seriously u wanna drop Jose Enrique? And why selling Henderson? Instead of them a Madrid Rejected, a CB injury prone and a diminutive Brazilian which does not qualify for a work permit
Armchairs supportes should keep playing football manager…..
