Suarez Set To Submit Official Transfer Request To Force Arsenal Move

By on July 24, 2013

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Luis Suarez is ready to force his move to Arsenal.

Luis Suarez Liverpool

Luis Suarez is ready to hand in a formal transfer request in order to force a move away from Anfield after being given permission to hold talks with Arsenal, according to reports on Wednesday evening.

The Gunners tabled a £40m plus £1 offer for the controversial Uruguayan hitman on Tuesday evening and while the bid was rejected once again by Liverpool, it triggered a clause in the players contract allowing him to hold talks with Arsene Wenger over a potential switch to the Emirates.

The Daily Mail claim that personal terms have already been agreed in principal between the Gunners and Suarez’s representatives with the player being offered a five-year deal worth £150,000-a-week. The major stumbling block is the fee with Liverpool appearing determined to hang on to the 26-year-old and they’ve hinted it would take an offer in excess of £50m to persuade them to sell. Whether Arsenal are willing to match that kind of figure remains to be seen, though.

However, Goal are reporting that Suarez is now ready to submit a formal transfer request to force his exit from Anfield and with it, concede loyalty bonuses which would be due to him if the Reds were willing sellers. If Suarez does end up handing in a written request, it could see Liverpool lower their demands and perhaps even see them enter into negotiations with Arsenal as it would be extremely difficult for them to force an unhappy player to stay.

Boss Brendan Rodgers said last week that Suarez would remain a Liverpool player unless “something drastic happens”, perhaps hinting that their stance would change should the striker make it official he wanted out.

It looks like it’s going to be a key few days in the Suarez transfer saga and the ball will firmly be in Liverpool’s court if the striker does end up submitting a transfer request – and if he does Arsene Wenger will be one step closer to signing the marquee name he craves this summer.

Suarez’s agent Pere Guardiola has said that his client won’t try to force a move away from Liverpool. Nothing in your article contradicts that. Neither Goal or yourself have spoken to Suarez or his agent and if you had any quotes you would have used them. So basically this is a totally made up article.

Sell him, he looked disinterested on the pitch today, get 45 mil and replace him with soldado and ericksen, he is great but clearly doesn’t want to play for us anymore,

The ball will remain in Arsenals court even if LS submits a transfer request, because it will be rejected unless a bid in excess of £53m is made.

I think you mean the ball is in Liverpool’s court. 😉

If he wants to go, put in a transfer request. No way he should get any loyalty payments if he wants to go. Especially after some of the stuff he is reported to have said.

It pains so much to see ur best player want live just for noting. Let this guy go if he feels unhappy playing for us again. A tree can not make a forest offcause the best ‘re not yet to born, solder go solder come barack remain the same, liverpool will still remain after suarez. So, Br get the right value and do some good business. Let him (suarez) not forget “evil that men do live with them”.

Suarez cn go if he wants but if cavani cn b sold for 55million thn he is worth more. Arsena r playin on his intelligence coz he said he wants to leave coz of press n family issues n daz d reason arsena doesnt want to bid 40m excess, wht a stingy club. D truth is am a big fan of suarez but if he doesnt wanna play for liv, he should get out but we must get dat 50m on him. I dont undastnd hw players r rated in europe anymore. Hw cn a player dan performd n scord more dan bale n cavani b ratd low. Infact, if real o arsena doesnt bid 50m excess, thn suarez must stay wheda he likes it or nt. He owes d clud his loyalty. He will b ungrateful if he hands a transfer request.

they liverpool should sale suarez if they are willing to do and progress in premier league this season because if they keep unhappy player he will do harm for their top 4 hope.last season that the same case happen to van persie arsenal sale him and they clinch top 4 so liverpool should do the same this season.if suarez play for arsenal the will win champions league because striking role is where arsenal is short.we alrealdy good at all the area so if liverpool did not release his he should hand offer transfer reguest tomorrow and force himself out of liverpool.ten years to come liverpool will not be in top 4 for this they should leave him alone and let him go to where his future lies.GUNNER TILL I DIE

The main point is that Suarez is a great pitch player but off the pitch he’s weird!
He never seen such a big football club and now when Liverpool helped him to become the player he is, this is how it ends. Liverpool will never walk alone no matter what happens. Liverpool wants players that wants to play for them. He deserves to be sold.

logically, if the transfer story is true i don’t see liverpool holding unto suarez if he finally puts in a transfer request as any money in excess of €40m solely belongs to suarez and he has the right to lower the demands to arsenal’s taste thereby forcing his way out. Am really sorry Liverpool fans. Quite hrtbrking.

If Suarez is unhappy too bad, he has a contract, Liverpool have to put their foot down and make him see it out. Letting him go is one thing but if so it should not be at the expense of strengthening an immediate rival for the Champions’ league places, and much less than £55m would be a bad deal for Liverpool. Arsenal have £72m to spend, Liverpool should milk them dry and get them to pay over the odds ridiculous money or tell them to get lost

Arsenal should re sign Van Persie from Manchester United instead or Wayne Rooney and leave Suarez alone
