By on September 19, 2013

Tottenham Hotspur get the group stages of their Europa League campaign under way tonight as they welcome Tromso to White Hart Lane.

Andre Villas-Boas has decided to rotate his squad and has made several changes from the side that beat Norwich City 2-0 on Saturday.

Jermaine Defoe comes in up front in place of Roberto Soldado. Erik Lamela makes his first start since his big-money move from AS Roma while Sandro also gets another chance to build his fitness after a serious knee injury last season.

Younes Kaboul and Kyle Naughton come in to the back four in place of Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen. Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Tottenham

Lloris; Naughton, Dawson, Kaboul, Rose; Dembele, Sandro; Lamela, Holtby, Sigurdsson; Defoe

Subs: Friedel, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Paulinho, Townsend, Kane, Soldado

Tromso

Sahlman; Causevic, Koppinen, Fojut, Kristiansen; Johansen, Bendiksen; Moldskred, Pritchard, Drage; Ondrasek.

Not a bad 2nd string line up! Great to see Kaboul, Sandro and Holtby. 5-0 tonight

A strong team, not entirely second string. Perhaps AVB is trying to get the tie sorted tonight so they really can send a second string team to the north pole. Holtby and Defoe to shine, but will it be bright enough to convince AVB they deserve more playing time in the league? 3-0
