Arsenal have been dealt yet another injury blow with the Mirror reporting that the injury suffered by winger Theo Walcott will keep him out for two-weeks.

The 24-year-old was forced to pull out of Sunday’s clash with Stoke at the last minute after suffering a stomach injury in the warm-up, but boss Arsene Wenger hoped the injury was nothing serious and would only keep the pacey attacker out for a matter of days.

However, the Mirror are claiming that the injury is worse than first thought and tests have shown that Walcott will now miss aroundtwo weeks, which will come as a huge blow to the club.

The squad is already stretched to it’s limits by a spate of injuries – particularly to the wide attacking areas – with Walcott now joining Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla, Tomas Rosicky, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Yaya Sanogo and Abou Diaby on the sidelines.

It leaves Wenger with few options on the flanks for Wednesday’s Capital One Cup clash against West Brom, upcoming Premier League clashes with Swansea and the Baggies, as well as next weeks crucial Champions League tie with Napoli.

Despite the injury problems faced by the north London club, Arsenal still sit top of the Premier League table but as the injuries continue to mount they threaten to derail a promising start to the season from the Gunners.
