As we all know the tabloids are starting to move into overdrive already with transfer speculation for the January window. I myself am amazed by some of the names who are being linked to clubs! Karim Benzema to Spurs!I Nearly fell off my chair laughing.

Anyway on to more serious matters. Arsenal are being linked with every available player on the planet and some who aren’t available. There seems to be a strong feeling that Arsene Wenger is going to upset Fergie by stealing in on Shakthar Donetsk youngster Douglas Costa.

Dialect between the two clubs is very healthy after the Eduardo transfer and even though Man Utd say they have money its quite obvious that they are financially restricted at this point. Costa is the type of player that Arsenal are missing. He is direct and very skillfull with a bag load of tricks up his sleeves. A bid of around £10million should be enough to tempt Shakthar into selling the 20 year old Brazilian.

Napoli defender Fabiano Santacroce is another who is being heavily linked! A strong powerful all round defender is not enjoying being ignored at Napoli and Arsene Wenger could be the right man to get the best out of the Brazilian born Italian. Before his injury problems the Napoli president was calling him the “the new Nesta” and if AW can get his mind right Santacroce could be the bargain of the season.

Every Arsenal fan has been calling for a new goalkeeper since Jens Lehmann left the club. After failing to capture Mark Schwarzer in the summer it seems as though Arsene Wenger has set his sights on Bosnian number 1 Asmir Begovic. The 6ft 6″ Begovic is not happy at being overlooked for the starting spot at his club and has basically said that he wants to leave! The one major problem with this deal is Begovic’s club Stoke City. There has been a lot tension between the two clubs and this could make the deal very hard to do. Im not sure if Arsene Wenger has got another goalkeeper in mind but it maybe a good idea to have one………..
