Liverpool take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday lunchtime looking to go three points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

The Reds head into the weekend action sitting level with Arsenal but can move clear if they avoid defeat in the north east.

Boss Brendan Rodgers has elected to recall Glen Johnson and Aly Cissokho for the game while Daniel Agger is only named on the bench. Lucas Leiva and Jose Enrique fail to make the squad but Daniel Sturridge continues his fine partnership up front with Luis Suarez.
