Man Utd vs Newcastle: Predicted Starting XI’s – RVP To Return?

By on December 6, 2013

Manchester United welcome Newcastle United to Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime looking to bounce back from Wednesday nights disappointing 1-0 loss to Everton.

Boss David Moyes is likely to make some changes to his line-up but the big question mark is over the potential inclusion of Robin van Persie.

The Dutchman hasn’t featured for the Champions since scoring the winner against Arsenal almost a month ago due to a niggling groin injury, and Moyes has revealed that the striker is unlikely to return this weekend.

With Wayne Rooney suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season, should RVP be ruled out once again, it would leave the United boss short of options in attack. Javier Hernandez is almost certain to come in, although Danny Welbeck could also be an option.

Chris Smalling could move out to right-back with Jonny Evans coming back in alongside Nemanja Vidic in the centre of defence. Phil Jones returns from suspension and is expected to start in midfield with Michael Carrick still out through injury.

Adnan Januzaj could get a start after impressing from the bench in midweek while Nani is also pushing for a recall. Here are the possible line-ups for the game:

I can bet you moyes will start his son welbeck and that is the foundation of his problem. If he does again then we ready to loose 3points again.
