Arsenal blew Newcastle away as Theo Walcott scored a classy double to secure a 4-0 victory and a place in the Quarter finals of the Carling Cup. A lucky opener coming thanks to an own goal from the back of Tim Krul’s head, and a scorcher from Bendtner came either side of Walcott’s double. As well as a superb display of attacking football, Arsene Wenger will be equally pleased with the performance of Arsenal goalkeeper Szczesny. He did everything asked of him and produced a couple of superb saves. The extended highlights below show the goals, but keep an eye out for some of Szczesny’s stops. Unfortunately one of the better saves is not shown, where he closed down the on-rushing Carroll making himself look huge (al la Peter Schmeichel) and blocking his shot with his chest. I’m excited by this guy, i only hope he’s given as many chances as Almunia and Fabianski to shine.

Arsenal this season will distroy every club, and goalkeeping looks no crisis from now, almunia is out of mind
Let’s hope so john…I’m not convinced we have seen the last of our goalkeeping troubles just yet. Give it till Xmas before making judgement I think. But Szczesny looks the business!
Debutant Wojciech Szczesny? Nuh-uh! He made his debut vs West Brom in the Carling Cup last year at the Emirates.
Good spot, will make the change now! Cheers
in the video it shows Kos as Captain, for some reason.
