Manchester United produced an excellent performance to draw 1-1 with reigning European champions Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Not many gave United much hope going into the game, but the hosts shocked everybody by taking the lead shortly after half time when skipper Nemanja Vidic headed home for 1-0 in the 58th minute.
United’s lead didn’t last long though as Bayern hit back when Bastian Schweinsteiger was on hand to fire home less than 10 minutes later to grab that all important away goal for the Germans. However, the midfielder will now miss the second leg at the Allianz after being sent off for a second yellow card for a late foul on Rooney.
