[Teams] PSG vs Chelsea: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on April 2, 2014

Chelsea take on Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes this evening in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final.

The Blues cruised through the group stages and eased past Galatasaray in the previous stage to book a date with PSG, and the West Londoners will be hoping to secure a positive result ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho has opted to start David Luiz in midfield alongside Ramires with Nemanja Matic cup-tied, while the Portuguese coach has decided not to start with a conventional striker as Andre Schurrle supports Oscar, Willian and Eden Hazard in attack.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

PSG

Sirigu, Jallet, Alex, Silva, Maxwell, Verratti, Motta, Matuidi, Cavani, Ibrahimovic, Lavezzi

Subs: Douchez, Cabaye, Marquinhos, Digne, Rabiot, Pastore, Lucas Moura

Chelsea

Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Ramires, Luiz; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Schurrle.

Subs: Schwarzer, Kalas, Ake, Lampard, Mikel, Torres, Ba

I’ve been waiting to see schurrle play as a striker. He has to make a statement today and hope he becomes a mainstay.
