Arsenal face a pivotal two weeks in which they play Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon followed by an FA Cup semi final with Wigan next weekend . Here is the latest injury news from Gooner Mac.

It’s been a difficult few months having to dealt with a number of injuries in the squad but the end is in sight with Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny closing in on comebacks, according to the Mirror.

Ozil has been on the treatment table in recent weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during our Champions League clash with Bayern Munich last month. But the Mirror claim the German international is stepping up his rehabilitation and is undergoing intense physio and gym sessions, and is expected to return to training soon.

Obviously he won’t feature against Everton and is unlikely to play any part at Wembley, but he could feature in the home game against West Ham on the 15th April which would give us a huge injury boost heading into our run-in.

Ramsey has also been on the sidelines for over three months since picking up a thigh injury against the Hammers on Boxing Day and his return has been hampered by a series of set-backs.

However, the 23-year-old is due to return to full training today and although Sunday’s match with Everton will come too soon, the newspaper claims he has a good chance of featuring at Wembley if he feels no ill-effects over the next week.

Rambo could be joined in the squad by defender Laurent Koscielny with the Frenchman also understood to have a chance of recovering from a calf injury in time to face Wigan, but Jack Wilshere and of course Theo Walcott are still out long-term.

It’s certainly been hugely unfortunate for us to have had Ozil, Ramsey, Walcott, Koscielny and Wilshere all out at the same time during a vital run of fixtures, and many rightfully say their absence has played a major part in our recent slump which has seen us fade away in the title race.

However, if we can just get past Everton and remain in the driving seat for a top four finish, hopefully Ramsey and maybe ever Koscielny could return to face Wigan in the Cup while Ozil won’t be too far behind them either, which will leave us in much better shape heading in to the final stretch of the season.
