[Video Goals] Chelsea 2-0 PSG: Late Ba Strike Sends Blues Through To Last Four

By on April 8, 2014

Chelsea pulled out another great escape as a late Demba Ba strike secured an away goals victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter finals of the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Heading into the game trailing 3-1 from the first leg last week, the Blues pulled one back when Andre Schurrle was on hand to slot home from a corner midway through the second half.

Knowing another goal would send his side through on away goals, Jose Mourinho threw on strikers Demba Ba and Fernando Torres late in the second half and the gamble paid off as Ba was on hand to score in the 87th minute to send the Stamford Bridge faithful wild.

Chelsea hung on to book their place in the semi finals, going through on the away goals rule after the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate.
