By on April 15, 2014

Arsenal claimed a vital three points after coming from a goal down to beat West Ham 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Hammers took a shock lead in the 40th minute when Matt Jarvis headed home a loose ball in the box but Arsenal drew level just before the break when Lukas Podolski fired home a left-footed strike for 1-1.

The Gunners then took the lead just after half-time when Olivier Giroud showed a great touch before burying a close range effort and Podolski grabbed his second with another powerful strike in the 78th minute to seal the points.

The win sees Arsenal move back up to fourth but Everton will leapfrog us once again if they avoid defeat at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The 2nd goal was decisive because it instilled the confidence into the team, which has been lacking since the turn of the year. It was after that we began to see some crisp, quick passes for which Arsenal was once known. Giroud was again wasteful especially in the 1st half, but got a beautiful goal. Podolski has again shown that he is lethal striker with those 2 clever goals.
I’m yet to be convinced that Szczesney is a better goalkeeper than Fabianski. I wonder how one goalkeeper would be excellent for FA cup matches and not good enough for EPL matches.
