Referees Selected For Weekend Fixtures: See Who’ll Be In Charge Of Your Team

Here’s a run-through of which referees have been selected for this weekends fixtures involving Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City.

As we approach the final stretch it’s still all to play for in the Premier League with things really hotting up at the top of the table.

The midweek fixtures brought about some shock results with Crystal Palace doing Arsenal a favour by beating Everton 3-2 while Man City blew their title hopes with a 2-2 draw at home to Sunderland.

It’s been a defining week at the top of the table with City’s controversial 3-2 loss last Sunday putting Liverpool in the driving seat. As seems to be the way these days, several key decisions from the referee heavily influenced the outcome at Anfield with Luis Suarez perhaps lucky to not receive a second yellow card for simulation, while the hosts were fortunate not to give away at least one penalty, with Martin Skrtel’s clear handball in the box in the final minute not picked up by referee Mark Clattenburg.

The officials were also in the spot-light at the Emirates on Tuesday when Arsenal beat West Ham 3-1 with one of the big talking points afterwards being Matt Jarvis’ decision not to go down in the box after being caught by Bacary Sagna. Sam Allardyce criticised the officials after the game while pundits like Gary Neville claimed Jarvis should have taken a tumble to help his team win a penalty.

These were just a few decisions that have had fans debating up and down the country, so it’s no wonder supporters are keen to find out who’ll be in charge of their teams games.
