[Video Goals] Norwich 2-3 Liverpool: Sterling Double Sends Reds Five Clear

By on April 20, 2014

Liverpool beat Norwich City 3-2 at Carrow Road this afternoon to move five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool raced into a two-goal lead thanks to a deflected long-rang effort from Raheem Sterling before the youngster set up striker Luis Suarez to slot home the second in the 11th minute.

The hosts got back in the game when Simon Mignolet’s error allowed Gary Hooper to tap home for 2-1 but the Reds restored their two-goal advantage when Sterling’s effort once again deflected past Ruddy in goal.

Norwich then ensured it would be a nervy last few minutes when Snodgrass headed home in the 77th minute for 3-2 but Liverpool held on to claim a huge three points and go five clear of Chelsea.
