[Teams] Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on April 22, 2014

Chelsea are in Spain to take on Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi final tonight.

The Blues booked their place in the last four thanks to a late Demba Ba goal which secured an away goals victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round, but will now face an Atletico side that knocked out Barcelona.

Jose Mourinho has opted to start Fernando Torres against his old club with Samuel Eto’o ruled out with a minor knee injury, but Eden Hazard is not deemed fit enough to even make the bench due to a calf injury. Ashley Cole starts at the back with Branislav Ivanovic suspended.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Atletico Madrid

Courtois; Juanfran, Miranda, Godín, Filipe; Mario, Gabi; Koke, Raúl García, Diego Ribas; Diego Costa

Subs: Aranzubia, Alderweireld, Tiago, Sosa, Arda Turan, Cristian Rodriguez, David Villa.

Chelsea

Cech, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Luiz, Lampard, Ramires, Willian, Torres

Subs: Schwarzer, Ake, Kalas, Oscar, Van Ginkel, Schurrle, Ba.
