[Video Goals] Chelsea 1-3 Atletico Madrid: Blues Crash Out To Impressive Madrid

By on April 30, 2014

Chelsea crashed out of the Champions League after losing 3-1 to Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

The Blues opened the scoring in the 36th minute when Fernando Torres swept home a Cesar Azpilicueta cross but the visitors grabbed a crucial away goal on the stroke of half time when Adrian was on hand to fire home at the far post for 1-1.

Chelsea pushed for the second goal they needed after the break but Atletico took the lead from the penalty spot after Samuel Eto’o had fouled Diego Costa inside the area. The Spaniard got to his feet and tucked away the penalty for 2-1 before Arda Turan killed the tie with a third in the 72nd minute to seal a 3-1 aggregate win for the La Liga leaders.

Atletico will now meet city rivals Real Madrid in the final next month. Watch all the goals here:
