Tottenham Hotspur will look to cement their position in sixth place when they take on West Ham at Upton Park on Saturday afternoon.

Boss Tim Sherwood has had to deal with speculation linking Frank De Boer with his position this week, but he’ll be putting that to one side this weekend as he looks to finish the season on a high.

The former midfielder is unlikely to make too many changes from the side that beat Stoke City 1-0 last weekend. Kyle Walker remains injured with a niggling pelvic injury so Kyle Naughton will continue to deputise at right back.

Jan Vertonghen is back in training so could return if he’s deemed fit enough, but Sherwood may opt to be cautious with the centre-back and stick with Michael Dawson and Younes Kaboul at the back.

Sandro has been in the bosses bad books in recent weeks and isn’t expected to come back in to the side this weekend so Paulinho and Nacer Chadli should keep their places in midfield, while youngster Harry Kane is likely to once again support Emmanuel Adebayor in attack.

Here’s our predicted line-up:

Yes, let’s leave Soldado on the bench and then bloody fools in the press box can go on reciting their favourite parrot cry “flop”

    Lloris
    Naughton Dawson Kaboul Fryers
    Sigurdsson Dembele Paulinho
    Adebayor Kane Erikson

Against Stoke neither Chadli or Lennon played well so I think they should be replaced, as well as Rose for losing his cool.

Loris Rose & Naughton (only ’cause there are no other choices) Kabul Chiriches (Time to let Saws go surely) Cappoue Sandro Chadli Erikson Kane Saldado (AdeBayor should replace Kane but needs a bit of a kick up the are at the moment). Play this in a 4-3-3 combination, with wing backs playing high, holding 2 shielding , Erikson free but at least starting from a central role (surely this is the most simple decision that should have been made 6 months ago?), & instruct forwards to press &/or track back some or face getting dragged, time to start demanding of our players & showing them there are consequences for any more lazy performances. I’d love to put holtby in their & a passer of the ball, perhaps Carroll, someone who can speed our play up a bit as & when necessary.
