Chelsea Set To Seal £50m Triple Swoop

By on June 8, 2014

As we approach the opening of the summer window clubs will be intensifying their efforts in the transfer market so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Chelsea are linked with a triple swoop.

Diego-Costa-Atletico Madrid

Chelsea are close to securing a £50m triple swoop on Atletico Madrid with Jose Mourinho looking to bring in Diego Costa, Tiago and Filipe Luis this summer, according to reports.

A deal to sign Costa is understood to be all-but complete with the Blues set to pay the strikers £32m buy-out clause with reports suggesting the 25-year-old has already passed a medical and agreed terms over a £160,000-a-week contract.

A new striker is high on Jose Mourinho’s agenda after the Blues boss made clear on several occasions last season that he’s not content with his forward options and Costa would be a superb signing for the club.

However, it appears the Spanish striker isn’t the only Atletico player on Mourinho’s radar with the Mirror claiming that defender Filipe Luis was due to fly in to London over the weekend to hold formal talks over an £18m deal and potentially undergo a medical if negotiations over a £100,000-a-week deal are successful.

With Ashley Cole set to leave Stamford Bridge when his contract expires this month a new left-back is required and Luis would be an excellent addition. The 28-year-old has been hugely impressive for Diego Simeone’s side over the past few years and was a key figure in helping the club win the La Liga title and reaching the Champions League final last season.

The newspaper also claims that midfielder Tiago is set to complete a free transfer move back to the Bridge having spent a year at the club between 2004-2005, with the Portuguese international likely to come in as a squad player for next season.

The trio would certainly be extremely useful signings for the west Londoners and the Mirror suggest the club are confident of officially announcing the £50m triple swoop early next week.

Chelseafc should rather go for KOKE rather than Tiago.Koke will be a powerful and a competent sub to oscar for Oscar is playing more than neccessary matches so playing Koke,Hazaerd and either Willians or Oscar or Shurryyl behind costa is very simple and just like playing 4-2-2-2 which can inturn be 4-1-3-1 thus Koke joining costa while Hazaed torment the defense
