Arsenal Could Miss Out On Key Target As Man Utd Line-Up Swoop For €77m-Rated Duo

By on August 22, 2014

The summer transfer window is now reaching its climax and managers are working hard to make some last minute additions to their squad, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Man Utd line-up a double swoop for Real Madrid duo Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira.

Sami-Khedira

Arsenal could miss out on long-term target Sami Khedira with reports today claiming that Manchester United are lining-up a double swoop for the midfielder and Real Madrid team-mate Angel Di Maria.

Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted on Thursday that Di Maria has asked to leave the club after rejecting a new contract, while Khedira’s future at the Bernabeu is also unclear after he too rejected a new deal.

‘If Di Maria doesn’t find a solution for his future, we would happily welcome him back once the transfer market is over.’

‘He asked to leave, he didn’t accept the proposal for the renewal of the contract. He’s a Real Madrid player and until August 31, as I’ve already said, anything can happen.

‘Khedira is a different situation. He’s not asked to go. He’s rejected an offer to renew, but has a year of contract. We’ll see what happens.’ Ancelotti is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail

Di Maria has been strongly linked with a move to both Paris Saint-Germain and Man Utd this summer and the Red Devils are reportedly willing to spend €62m (£50m) to take the Argentinean attacker to Old Trafford.

As yet, no deal is in place but with Ancelotti confirming the 26-year-old wants out, it seems only a matter of time before Di Maria secures a move away from Spain and United fans would no doubt welcome him with open arms in Manchester.

And the Old Trafford faithful could be celebrating a sensational double coup as the Daily Mail claim United are working on a double deal for Di Maria and his club team mate Sami Khedira.

Reports claim that Madrid are open to cashing in on the German international as he has just one year remaining on his contract and he could be available for just €15m (£12m) as the European champions are reluctant to see him walk away for free next summer.

United’s interest in Khedira is bad news for Arsenal as the Gunners have been strongly linked with the 27-year-old in recent months, with Arsene Wenger understood to have identified the player as the dominant figure he needs to play alongside Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

It’s no surprise that both Arsenal and United are showing an interest in Khedira as he’d be an absolute bargain at just €15m and it’s going to be interesting to see where he ends, but with just 10 days remaining of the transfer window, we won’t have to wait long to find out.

If United could somehow win the race for both Di Maria and Khedira, they would have pulled off a stunning double coup that’s likely to set them back in the region of €77m in transfer fees alone, but there is still a long way to go before that happens so we’ll just have to see how things develop over the coming days.

Yes Farbrigas ws a good player being groomed by Arsene Wanger and making him what he is. Bt People should not forget thatSome of the legends including Theiry Henery left the club and up to now Arsenal is still strong among the top four. Not amont the top SEVEN. I may call him a tourist player. Once Being dropped fm a mighty club like FC BACA means a lot to a player.

Manchester united are not getting either of these two players, with Ed Woodward at the helm regarding tranfers, the club is in a downward spiral as long as he is doing his diabolicle work. he is a liability and i am sure LVG must see this. LVG must be seething at their unprofessional approach. I really do beleive that Manchester United are incapable of attracting top players to this great club. Everything that was good at the appointment of LVG is fast approaching meltdown all because they have the incompetence of Ed woodward.
