Liverpool slumped to a 3-0 defeat to reigning European champions Real Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday night with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema among the goals.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Ronaldo latched on to a through-ball before beat Simon Mignolet with a superb finish.
Just 7 minutes later and it was 2-0 with Benzema doubling the Spaniards advantage with a looping header. The game was then over just before half time when the Frenchman was on hand to poke home from close range following a corner.
Liverpool held their own in the second period but no more goals were scored and Madrid ran out 3-0 victors. Watch all the goals and highlights here:
