[Video Goals] Man Utd 3-0 Hull: van Persie Seals Win With Stunning Strike

By on November 29, 2014

Manchester United eased past Hull City with a comfortable 3-0 win at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon with Robin van Persie getting back among the goals.

The hosts opened the scoring early on when Chris Smalling forced the ball home following a scramble in the area – although the goal may eventually go down as a McGreagor own goal as the keeper appeared to parry the ball over his own line.

It was 2-0 just before half time when Wayne Rooney fired home a lovely strike from outside the area after being teed-up by van Persie to put the hosts in control, and the Dutchman then got himself on the score-sheet with a stunning third as he smashed home a left-footed strike in the 66th minute.

The win sees United move back above Arsenal into fourth place and just two points behind Man City ahead of their clash with Southampton tomorrow.
