Aston Villa vs Man Utd Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Ups & Predicted Score

Manchester United take on Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, line-up, predicted score and betting tips.

Villa-Park

Manchester United will look to continue their recent excellent form when they take on Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the weekend action as the Premier League’s in-form team having won their last six games in succession.

The latest of-which came with an impressive 3-0 victory over old foes Liverpool at Old Trafford last Sunday with that result leaving United third in the table and just five points off second-placed Man City.

Villa on the other hand come into the game off the back of last weeks disappointing 1-0 loss to rivals West Bromwich Albion, so Paul Lambert will be desperate to get back to winning ways on home soil and improve upon their current 13th place in the division.

Team News

Marcos Rojo is back in training for United and could return to the squad but he may be lacking the fitness to start so Jonny Evans and Phil Jones should continue at the back.

Rafael is also struggling for match practice after a number of weeks on the sidelines while Luke Shaw remains out with an ankle injury.

Ander Herrera could come into the side with Daley Blind still missing and Angel Di Maria is likely to be named on the bench at best as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

Radamel Falcao is pushing for a return to the starting eleven after being left out in favour of James Wilson last week, but the Colombian may have to make-do with a place among the subs again.

Villa will be without suspended trio Alan Hutton, Tom Cleverley and Kieran Richardson for the game.

Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker remain unavailable due to injury while Joe Cole is also still missing with a hamstring problem.

Ashley Westwood’s knee injury rules him out until the New Year so he joins Nathan Baker on the sidelines but Fabian Delph and Ron Vlaar should return.

Likely Line-Ups

Predicted Score

Aston Villa 1-2 Man Utd: The home side have several players missing and it probably couldn’t be a worse time to face United as they seem to be hitting their stride after a difficult start to the season, so I think we’ll see van Gaal’s men extend their winning streak tomorrow.

What team would you like to see start and whats your predicted score for the game?
