Ramsey: Injured again

Arsenal ground out a 2-1 victory over Leicester City at the Emirates on Tuesday night thanks to first half goals from Laurent Koscielny and Theo Walcott. Here are my ratings:

Ospina  6/10 | Could perhaps have done better with the goal as he was beaten too easily at his near post. Made a couple of decent saves but distribution wasn’t great.

Bellerin  6/10 | Given a tough time in the first half as Leicester looked dangerous down his flank. No great threat going forward either.

Mertesacker  7.5/10 | Made two excellent goal-line clearances to deny the visitors certain goals.

Koscielny  7/10 | Solid enough from the Frenchman at the back and he took his goal extremely well.

Monreal  6/10 | A rare off day for Nacho. Mahrez and Schlupp gave him trouble all night.

Coquelin  6.5/10 | Not as influential as he has been but still a steady performance. Although he should have done better against Cambiasso for their goal.

Rosicky  6/10 | Below par display from Rosicky. Just wasn’t at the races.

Walcott  7/10 | Another fine goal to make it 3 in four games since his return. Such a threat but faded after the break when we lost control of the game.

Cazorla  6.5/10 | Looked lively early on but his influence dropped as the game wore on.

Ozil  7/10 | Superb in the first half as he set-up both goals and looked to be enjoying himself, but like many of his team mates he faded in the second half.

Alexis  6/10 | Picked up a knee injury in the first half and stupidly played on. Hopefully he’s not made the problem worse in doing so. The injury clearly had an affect on his performance too.

Subs:

Giroud 6/10 | Lacked any sort of service and was just on to put himself about.

Ramsey N/A | Forced off after less than 10 minutes with yet another hamstring injury.

Flamini N/A | Only on for a short time.
