Spurs topping the group is making me sick

defoe vs twente

Seeing Spurs top their Champions League Group is making me extremely nauseus. The fact that they did in a group which is much tougher as compared to Arsenal’s makes me even more sick. Further to that, we have probably a very very slim chance of finishing top of our group. That’s a triple whammy for me today.

Yes we will probably go out there tonight and hammer the daylights out of Partizan but we still cannot change the fact that if Shakhtar avoids defeat to Braga, they will be top of the group. This is an important development because with the other three English teams taking top spot in their groups, it leaves us with only 4 other teams that we can possibly meet in the second stage. Therefore it leaves us with the possibility of meeting anyone of the following: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Shalke.

I don’t know about you guys but looking at the list makes me tremble at our champions league progress this season. Not that I am looking down on our players but it’s doesn’t look good from where I sit and watch.

Isn’t life grand? A message for Partizan – Please dump the shame of North London – Ar23nal in the Europa where they belong.

Ar23nal – forever in our shadow.

And what a shadow it is. It’s been really tough living up to the high expectations Spurs have set over the last 15 years.

Us Gooners are embarrassed by the pitifull doubles, unbeaten seasons, 13 years straight in the champs league knockout rounds, FA Cups….i mean it just can’t compare to…….oh wait…..just the Carling Cup. Hmmmmm

lmao, a goon trying to belittle the carling cup, from what ive seen you lot are taking more seriously this season than ever before. Putting out your youngsters like fabregas and song and the other 9 so called youngsters lol, I hope you lot win it becasue il rip into every goon head that called it the worthless cup lol, more like the “we have to try win something eventually, this will have to do cup” lmao

    2-3!! Ave it!

It took you guys 3 years to get out of the group stages, us, just 1! Set records on the way and people are talking about our football and not yours.

Top of the group and you, although unlikely could be in the Europa league!

13 years straight in the champs league and where has it got the Goons. At least Manure have won it twice in that period.

I think the thing that pisses Arsenal off is how easy the CL is – for us its actually been easier than the prem. Which kind of takes a shine off their CL results in the past.

People used to think the CL was so over Tottenhams level that they would be wiped the floor with.

No matter what happens in the next round we have showed just how high the premiership standard is.

How good would it be to meet Arsenal in the knockouts – all the pressure would be on them.

There are 2 kinds of champions in the history of big competitions 1. the ones who dominate from the word go till end and 2. the ones who stutter and stutter and somehow win it. I would like to believe that we could be of the second type.So lets all believe

Am I the only spurs supporter who wants Arsenal to win tonight?
I have read on numerous occassions that UEFA president wants to lower our champions league allocation to 3 clubs which means we wouldn’t actually be in this competition if that were the case. The longer English clubs can stay in the competition the harder it will be for UEFA to lower our allocation. Good Luck Arsenhole… but only until we knock you out in the quarter finals 🙂

hmmmm……. do i smell……… FEAR?????? how long us spurs fans have waited to read this kind of blog from a gooner, fair play to you though as you were gracious to notice how we topped a difficult group, i have to have a pop and say that last season “spurs have no chance finishing in top 4” then it went to “spurs won’t be able to qualify for the CL proper” and then it became “spurs will finish no higher than fourth in THAT group” PLEASE PLEASE SAY NEXT “SPURS HAVE NO HOPE OF WINNING CL!!” COYS

Spuds have done nothing special. A freak og gave them victory yesterday and Inter are not the team they were under Maureen as we witnessed last night. Spurs, probably the most overated team in the country and STILL behind the goons in the EPL where they have been ever sibce the EPL started.

To all the spud fans you can have your little fun on this message board by all means carry. However all arsenal fans know is that come 2012 your great manager and he has done well, will be saying bye bye and accepting the England job.
Which means you guys will go back to the times where you transfer more managers then players and will again be bottom of the league or best mid table.
So guys enjoy because your manager is a ticking time bomb waiting for the call. Tick tock tick tock.
