Chelsea Transfer News: Italian International Keen On Joining Conte At Chelsea

An Italian international striker is keen to link up with Antonio Conte at Chelsea amid reports of a potential swap deal involving Nemanja Matic.

The summer transfer window is in full swing so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Simeone Zaza is linked with Chelsea

Simone Zaza would be interested in working with Antonio Conte amid reports Juventus are going to offer the striker to Chelsea as part of a swap deal for Nemanja Matic, according to the Daily Star.

The Serbian international endured a difficult season last year and is being tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer following the arrival of N’Golo Kante from Leicester City.

Conte is keen to keep hold of the 28-year-old but the Daily Star claim that Matic’s representatives held talks with Chelsea officials on Tuesday where they made it clear the midfielder wants to leave in search of a new challenge.

It looks like he’s going to be offered a fresh start in Serie A as the newspaper cites reports coming from Gazzetta dello Sport that claim Juventus have set their sights on Matic as a replacement for Paul Pogba following his move to Manchester United.

With Chelsea reluctant to do business, the Italian outlet say that Juve are ready to offer the Blues striker Simone Zaza as part of the deal and the Italian international is understood to be keen to work with Conte again in England.

Zaza was part of Conte’s Italian squad at Euro 2016 this summer and made three appearances before the Azzuri crashed out to Germany and it looks as though the two could now be reunited in west London.

Conte is reportedly on the look out for another forward during the closing stages of the window and he could be tempted by the idea of signing Zaza as Chelsea continue to struggle to agree terms with Everton over top target Romelu Lukaku.

The 25-year-old joined Juventus from Sassuolo in 2015 and scored 5 goals during his 19 Serie A appearances last season, but he struggled to establish himself as a regular in Massimiliano Allegri’s starting eleven.
