Mourinho Makes 2 Changes In 4-2-3-1: Predicted Man Utd Line-Up To Face Man City

Manchester United will look to continue their 100% start to the season when they take on Man City on Saturday. Here is the side I think Jose Mourinho will pick

Premier League football returns as Manchester United welcome Manchester City to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon in a game that sees Jose Mourinho take on old foe Pep Guardiola.

Here is the side I think Mourinho will pick for the game:

Goalkeeper: David de Gea is certain to keep his place as Mourinho’s No.1.

Defence: Antonio Valencia isn’t due to return from his long-haul trip to South America until Friday morning meaning he’ll have less than 24 hours to prove his fitness ahead of the game. It’s unlikely the Ecuadorian international will be passed fit so out-of-favour full-back Matteo Darmian could be drafted in.

Eric Bailly has struck up a superb partnership with Daley Blind which has seen Chris Smalling consigned to the bench and that’s expected to continue this weekend while Luke Shaw should keep his place at left-back.

Midfield: Marouane Fellaini recovered from a knock to play for Belgium in midweek so the midfielder should be passed fit to keep his place alongside Paul Pogba in the middle of the park.

If Mourinho feels he needs to mix things up then he could call upon Michael Carrick or Ander Herrera to play alongside the French superstar.

Attack: Marcus Rashford must have played his way in to Mourinho’s thoughts after scoring the winner off the bench against Hull two week ago before bagging a superb hat-trick for the England under-21’s in midweek.

Henrikh-Mkhitaryan-Manchester-United

If the youngster does start, we could see Juan Mata drop to the bench as Zlatan Ibrahimovic will keep his place up front while Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial are also expected to be retained in the starting eleven.

Henrikh Mkhitaryn is a major doubt after picking up an injury while away on international duty with Armenia last week.

Here is how we think United will line-up:
