Manchester City take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night in the last-16 of the EFL Cup. Here is the side we think Pep Guardiola will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: The City boss confirmed at his press conference earlier today that Willy Caballero will start in goal with No.1 Claudio Bravo given a breather.

Defence: Nicolas Otamendi is expected to get a recall in defence after being left out of the starting eleven for the 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday so Alexander Kolarov could drop out.

Vincent Kopmany will be assessed to see how he responds after starting his first league game since April at the weekend but the skipper should be fit to line-up along with John Stones at the back.  Pablo Zabaleta is ruled out along with Bacary Sagna so Guardiola is struggling to field a senior right-back and may opt to stick with three at the back.

Midfield: Ilkay Gundogan could get a rest as Guardiola looks to protect his fitness so Fernando may come in to the side to join Fernandinho in the middle of the park. Jesus Navas may also get a recall on the right wing with Leroy Sane keeping his place on the opposite flank.

Attack: Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out with a calf injury that forced him off at half-time on Sunday so Nolito should come back in to the starting eleven and join Raheem Sterling in attack.

David Silva and Sergio Aguero should be given a rest so Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to start up front after coming off the bench to score against the Saints on Sunday.

Here is how I think we’ll see City line-up:
