Conte To Make 2 Changes: Predicted Chelsea XI To Face Tottenham

Chelsea will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.

Here is the team we think Antonio Conte will pick for the game:

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois will once again line-up between the sticks tomorrow as he’s clearly the established first choice keeper for the Blues.

Defence: John Terry could be back in contention for a place in the squad as Conte reported at his press conference earlier that he had no injury worries to contend with – although the Blues boss may feel his skipper needs more time to regain full fitness after a recent injury.

Either way, even if Terry is declared fit Chelsea are still expected to name an unchanged back three with David Luiz once again joined by Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta at the back.

Midfield: However, Conte may make one change in midfield as Nemanja Matic is expected to get a recall after the Serbian international was rested for the 4-2 win over Stoke City at the weekend.

Cesc Fabregas is the man set to make way as N’Golo Kante is certain to keep his place in the middle of the park and will resume his impressive partnership with Matic.

Marcos Alonso has been passed fit despite an injury scare at the weekend after he needed treatment on an ankle problem while Victor Moses will continue on the right wing.

Attack: The Blues will be boosted by the return of Pedro after he missed the Stoke game through suspension and Conte may be tempted to give the Spaniard a recall as he was in fine form before his ban and he’ll provide fresh legs to the side.

Willian will feel he’s done enough to keep his place after scoring twice at the weekend but he’s the man at risk of dropping out as Eden Hazard is certain to keep his place in attack.

Another player who is also guaranteed to keep his place is Diego Costa as the striker will be looking to add to his tally after making it 14 goals in his 18 league games so far at the weekend.

Here is how we think Chelsea will line-up:
