Tottenham will look to keep the pressure on at the top of the table when they take on Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Here is the side we think Mauricio Pochettino will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris made a successful return to action during last weekend’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough after recovering from illness so the French international will continue between the sticks on Saturday.

Defence: Spurs will have to make do without Danny Rose as the defender continues to nurse a knee injury that he picked up ten days ago. The England ace received positive news following a consultation with a specialist but no timescale has been put on his recovery just yet.

Ben Davies will therefore continue at left-back while Kyle Walker should once again occupy the right-back berth despite the return to fitness of Kieran Trippier.

Jan Vertonghen is making good progress in his recovery from ankle ligament damage but the Belgian international remains out so Eric Dier is expected to continue alongside Toby Alderweireld at the back.

Pochettino has favoured a back three during many games against the ‘big 6’ this season but with Vertonghen unavailable he may opt to stick with a back four as Kevin Wimmer has failed to impress when given the chance.

Midfield: I don’t expect there to be any changes in the middle of the park so Victor Wanyama should continue alongside Mousa Dembele against Liverpool this weekend.

Attack: Hueng-min Son worked hard against Middlesbrough last weekend so he’s expected to retain his place in attack with Erik Lamela continuing to miss out as he recovers from a hip injury.

I don’t see Pochettino making many changes to his forward line so we should once again see Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen support Harry Kane in attack.

Here is how I think we’ll see Spurs line-up:
