Conte Ready To Launch £56m Bid After Striker Gives Green Light To Chelsea Move

Antonio Conte is ready to launch a £56m bid for Alvaro Morata after the striker decided he wants to leave Real Madrid and move to Chelsea this summer

Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Alvaro Morata wants to join Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to launch a £56m bid for Alvaro Morata after the striker decided he wants to leave Real Madrid and move to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.

Morata’s future has been the subject of intense speculation as we approach the summer as he’s struggled to force his way in to Zinedine Zidane’s starting eleven on a regular basis this season.

The 24-year-old re-joined Madrid last summer following a two-year stint at Juventus in the hope of finally establishing himself at his boyhood club having initially come through their youth ranks.

However, Morata has continued to find himself well down the pecking order and has made just 9 La Liga starts this campaign leading to reports that he’ll once again be on the move this summer in search of regular action.

Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for the Spanish international in recent transfer windows and the Mirror claim that Antonio Conte is desperate to link-up with the striker having worked with him during their time in Turin.

The newspaper says that Conte has now demanded Roman Abramovich launches a £56m bid for Morata after the striker decided he wants to leave Madrid and be reunited with his former boss in west London.

Madrid will surely be tempted to sell Morata if the Blues tabled a formal £56m bid so this could be one transfer we should keep a close eye on over the coming weeks as we approach the opening of the summer window.

Conte is expected to further strengthen his attack ahead of Chelsea’s return to the Champions League and with Michy Batshuayi tipped to leave after a disappointing campaign, it looks as though the Blues boss wants Morata to replace the Belgian hitman.

I think Morata has the potential to be a top class striker if given a more prominent role at a top club so I think he’d be a real success if he was to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
