Arsenal will look to bounce back from their North London Derby defeat when they take on Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Arsene Wenger will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech was outstanding during the defeat to Tottenham last weekend and it would have been a lot more than 2-0 if it wasn’t for his heroics between the sticks, so the Czech legend is almost certain to keep his place in goal with David Ospina on the bench after recovering from a back injury.

Defence: Wenger has stuck with the 3-4-3 formation for the last four games and while it didn’t work out too well at White Hart Lane, I think that was down to the players performances rather than the system we used.

Laurent Kosiclent showed no ill-effects of the knee injury that caused him trouble in the build up to the Spurs game so I expect he’ll marshall the defence again this weekend.

Shkodran Mustafi is back in contention after recovering from a thigh problem but with Gabriel in decent form on the right side of the back three, Mustafi may be deployed on the left.

Midfield: That would allow Nacho Monreal to move back out to the left wing-back position after a stint in defence with Kieran Gibbs dropping out after a disappointing display against Tottenham.

Hector Bellerin is pushing for a recall but it will be difficult for Wenger to drop Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he was once again arguably our best outfield player last weekend.

Granit Xhaka is a major doubt after sustaining a knock against Spurs so if he fails a late fitness test I think we’ll see Francis Coquelin come back in to the midfield.

Mohamed Elneny will be hoping for a recall after not being named in the squad at Tottenham but I think Aaron Ramsey will keep his place in the middle of the park.

Attack: Our attack was virtually non-existent last weekend so big improvements need to be made on Sunday. Olivier Giroud through the middle just isn’t working so I think Danny Welbeck may start up front.

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil came under fire for their performances against Tottenham so we’ll be looking for a lot more from our star duo against United on Sunday afternoon.

Theo Walcott is pushing for a recall but I think he’ll have to make do with a place on the bench along with the likes of Alex Iwobi but Lucas Perez is out after picking up a knock in training.

Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
