[VIDEO] Watch Richard Keys Latest Smutty Comments: “Would You Smash It?”

Following on from Andy Gray’s sacking, it looks like his pal Richard Keys could be heading for the same fate after another video has emerged showing him using sexist, and lets face it, very smutty comments about a fellow employee. Sit back and enjoy a middle aged man trying to act like a 21-year-old ‘geezer’:

My advice to Sky is “Why not kill two birds with one stone”. You’ve got rid of one useless idiot, why not the other? Football fans all over the country
will not use the Mute button on their TV’s now that the useless Gray will no longer be foisted on them. One down and one to go!!

Men say things to each other in private – shock.

No two men, presented with a female linesman would not joke about the offside rule.

Men say things like “would you do her?” all the time – the problem here is that Sky are using leaks to allow them cancel contracts –

They are sullying the names of Keys and Gray – who are simply acting like men.

Will Sky remove all sexist adds from television? The ones were men are portrayed as fools or woman are permitted to hit / ridicule them?

Will they cancel soccer am which has the soccerette slot every week – clearly objectivising women???

    @ Michael Doyle
You miss the point. It wasn’t two men talking together. Through sheer carelessness, it was two men talking to the airwaves and their sexist talk cannot be allowed to escape severe punishment. The comments directed about the female assistant ref were outrageous. All that is required of anyone in that position is knowledge of the Laws, good eyesight, reasonable fitness and a calm nerve. I’m not sure how a female must, of necessity, automatically fail to meet these criteria. Perhaps you would attempt to tell me.

Nicky, I think it is you who miss the point! The point is…. drum role… it was a joke. Richard Keyes and Andy Gray know full well that a woman is a capable linesman, in fact everyone does… but boys will be boys when they are with the boys (as my mum used to put it). They were joking about a stereotype, there was absolutely nothing OUTRAGEOUS at all in what was said… shock horror, men tell jokes about women not knowing the offside rule… and someone said she was supposed to be a bit of a looker – the problem here is the fuss made of it… the fact we are even discussing it and sacking them (him) is helping keep the devide… women (especially women who want a career in football) need to understand the psychology of men – especially when talking to other men means there is some banter flying and things get said – I can promise you, when I was younger I didn’t really sleep with the mother of all my friends, I still told them i did though… BANTER, it’s a word that needs to become more prevelant than OFFENDED -V because the PC code we live by now is trying to blend the sexes into a race of Hermaphrodite robots who are all equal and all the same with no differing class, culture or opinion!! ooooo can’t wait for this exciting new era!!! people really need to lighten up… !!!

      January 26, 2011 at 1:25 pm

It was two men talking in a private capacity – they didn’t know that the tapes where running or that they would be leaked…

If me and a mate chat over lunch about what a cow our female boss is or how we’d “smash” it – we would not expect to have that conversation recorded and distributed to the press – if it were i would sue my employer for the loss of the good name.

There is a private / public face and to judge peoples private comments in a public forum is atrocious –

this “evidence” would not be admissable in court because it is unsafe and does not show the full context…. if Andy Gray said it during a commentary then happy days, sack him… but he said it infront of a friend in a private capacity….

A mate of mine got drunk last summer – while we were all on a jolly in Cyprus, and started to egg one of the lads on in exactly the same way…. ‘did you smash it’ ? ‘did you smash it’?

He got lumped, and that was in a pool setting and not at work!

So you advocate violence then do you?? You and your cronies must be retards then where violence is accepted and condoned and a bit of banter is treated with this kind of reaction.Maybe you’ve been wacked too many times yourself if you come out with these moronic comments all the time.

As you say, “boys will be boys when they are with the boys”. But, idiot, they were NOT with the boys. They were on air (whether deliberately or not) broadcasting to male, female, young, old, sensitive or not. And if you really believe that Messrs Gray and Keys consider that a woman is as good as a man running the line at football, you are more naive and gullible than I would have thought possible. Men as a race speak their belief on two occasions, i.e. when drunk and when with their peers.

Not necessarily at all,men as a gender just like women themseves will come out with comments to ingratiate themselves, that make them feel accepted within a group,it’s what humans do..It’s not necessarily the truth or what they believe in.

How so? Blokes working on building sites wouldn’t think twice about having a good old scratch….why? because it’s deemed as the norm! No one cares, lads would also burp -loudly- while talking…..try transferring these norms into an office setting!

take yourself and the way you attack my opinions….I’m guessing you’re group norm is quite opinionated.

        January 26, 2011 at 6:09 pm

You are right our “group norms”, I shall take those words, are opinionated we have no tolerance for muppets like you, that would quite easily go round using violence or at the very least tolerate violence, you know the old saying “two wrongs do not make a right”so for the first time today you are correct…

by the way pad you inadvertently have stumbled upon my previous argument, that we all to a greater or lesser degree try to fit in,ingratiate ourselves which is the word I used..Which you have happily described to me..

          Not so fast smart-arse!
Interrogation depends on many factors, fear, low self-esteem or purely sycophantic ideology, you may also just agree with the norm – A good example of this was Nazi Germany.

Why did so many find it acceptable to persecute men, women and children > fear? sycophantic ideology? Whatever the reason for this social norm it was abjectly wrong!

Whistling at women from scaffolding was a norm, so to was shouting ‘GREAT TITS’ ‘NICE ARSE’ – Did you ever get that bus?

Have you no mind of your own, this as yet is not Nazi germany….Have you ever thought about sticking to the subject, and not talking rubbish for just one minute,it must have been you that was “lumped” surely??

I bet your nicknmame is thrush isn’t it?? as you are such an irritating little c..t aren’t you?? Next you’ll be quoting the stanford experiment at me next for goodness sake..

Yeah, lumped….but not by me. Have you ever in all of the 16 years on this earth witnessed something you didn’t like ?

You have no need to quote Nazi germany at me,I am beginning to think you’re an apologist or something? Is that the way you try to get laid by lending the impression that you’re a new age guy? “Those awful, awful men, terrible they are for saying such things, anyway sweetheart fancy a drink tonight,oh and make sure you’re wearing a short skirt you may get lucky”

It wasn’t in a “private capacity”. They were both fitted with microphones and as experienced broadcasters they should be aware that when they stop speaking, it doesn’t necessarily mean the sound is cut off immediately. No excuses then and I hope Keys follows Gray and it will be a warning to their colleagues.

I hope it will be a warning,as i am sick and tired of hearing sexist comments from georgie Thompson and Kelly cates on sky,in the immortal words of Brady,”it makes my blood boil”,and not just the one time in a month…

You are all morons – all as bad as each other and none of you can spell.. What makes your points worse is that they are so fallaciously pretentious – like you understand the intricate depths of group psychology and gender roles in society.. Give me a break, read, research and then maybe have an intelligent conversation based on some reasoned, rational philosophical principles that span beyond your own parochial festering lives of nothing-to-do-but-talk-shit.. And that makes me worse for stooping to this level in the first place.
Question: why do women HAVE to be ingratiated into a male sporting realm? Can football not be a place that is male dominated anymore? After all there is a womens game so they have their own equivalent surely? Talk about that with your narrow minded gender politics morons 🙂
