The summer transfer window is in full swing and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Liverpool have agreed terms with Domagoj Vida…

Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Arsenal target Domagoj Vida ahead of a potential £22.2m move from Besiktas this summer, according to reports via TeamTalk.

Vida only joined Besiktas from Dinamo Kiev in January and has emerged as hot-property after enjoying an excellent World Cup that saw him play a key role in helping Croatia reach their first ever final before eventually losing to France 4-2 in the final earlier this month.

The 29-year-old’s superb performances in Russia have attracted interest from the Premier League with the Mirror reporting earlier this week that Arsenal, Everton and West Ham have all joined Liverpool in expressing their interest.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has already signed Sokratis from Borussia Dortmund but with Laurent Koscielny injured, Per Mertesacker retired and doubts continuing over Shkodran Mustafi is seems the Spaniard is on the look out for another centre-back.

Vida appears to be on Arsenal’s radar but the Mirror claimed Liverpool were still in pole position to sign the Croatian international despite seeing their latest £19.5m bid rejected by Besiktas.

It seems the Merseysiders have now moved a step closer to signing Vida as TeamTalk are citing a report from A Spor that claims Liverpool have agreed terms with the defender over a two-year contract with the option for a third year.

The Turkish publication says with that agreement in place, Liverpool now just need to settle on a fee and Besiktas are willing to do business at £22.2m – which is not far from Liverpool’s last offer.

With the two clubs so close in their valuations and personal terms reportedly agreed, it looks like Vida could be heading to Anfield this summer unless there are some unexpected late complications.

Jurgen Klopp has already signed Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xhedran Shaqiri but the Reds boss has been tipped to sign another centre-back as doubts continue over Dejan Lovren and Vida has seemingly been identified as the man to partner Virgil van Dijk this season.
