Manchester United continued their superb form and booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 victory over at Arsenal tonight.

United broke the deadlock midway through the first half and it was Alexis Sanchez who returned to haunt his former side as he beat the offside trap, rounded Petr Cech and squeezed home from a tight angle after being found by a superb pass from Romelu Lukaku.

The visitors doubled their advantage just two minutes later and Lukaku was again the provider as he teed-up Jesse Lingard who cooly slotted home in to the bottom corner from 12 yards to make it 2-0 in the 33rd minute.

Arsenal responded and pulled one back just before half-time as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tapped home from close range at the far post after good work from Aaron Ramsey to leave it well balanced at the break.

Arsenal pushed to find an equaliser in the second half but with both Sokratis and Laurent Koscielny off injured, a make-shift back four was ripped open as United made it 3-1 in the counter with Anthony Martial scoring after Paul Pogba’s effort was parried by Cech.

There was no way back for Arsenal so it’s United who progress and will be in the hat for the fifth round draw.
