Manchester United will look to build on their win over Partizan Belgrade with another positive result when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon. 

It’s been a difficult few weeks for United as they’ve been on a poor run of form but they got back to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 win in Serbia to boost their chances of progressing to the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer will now turn his attention back to Premier League matters as he looks to pick up his first league victory in five outings and Man Utd will hope to build on last weekend’s 1-1 draw with leaders Liverpool.

The Manchester giants head into the game sitting 15th in the table and just two points outside the relegation zone so Solskjaer desperately needs a win at Carrow Road to get their season back on track.

However, Norwich are also in dire need of points as they sit 19th in the division – three points behind United – after drawing at Bournemouth last weekend so the visitors shouldn’t underestimate the task at hand.

As confirmed on ManUtd.com, United continue to be without midfielder Paul Pogba as he’s still recovering from an ankle injury that’s hampered him in recent weeks while Luke Shaw is also still on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Nemanja Matic is in Dubai recovering from a muscle problem while Axel Tuanzebe and Diogo Dalot have been ruled out through injury but David De Gea will return to the side after not being risked for the trip to Serbia.

Norwich have no fresh injury concerns to worry about and Onel Hernandez is expected to be in the squad after recovering from a knee injury.

However, Ralf Fahrmann, Mario Vrancic, Christoph Zimmermann, Timm Klose and Grant Hanley remain on the sidelines with lengthy injury problems.

Norwich 1-2 Man Utd: The win over Partizan Belgrade was United’s first away from home since March in all competitions but they haven’t won on the road in the Premier League in their last eight outings, so that will give Norwich confidence. However, Solskjaer will hope the performance against Liverpool last weekend will kick start their campaign and the return of Anthony Martial will boost their attack. I’m expecting a close game tomorrow but have a feeling Man Utd might just edge it.
