Here is footage showing footballers Joe Barton and Kelvin Etuhu involved in altercations during nights out on the town. It’s easy to say that as professional footballers ‘they should know better’ and that they ‘should be setting a better example’ but judging by the brutal nature of these attacks there really is no excuse for their behaviour. Barton served 74 days of a 6 month sentence for his attack while Etuhu has been sentenced to 8 months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
Joey Barton is a player widely disliked by rival fans and he really doesn’t do himself any favours on the pitch as well as off it. He was recently caught punching Blackburn’s Pedersen in the stomach in an off-the-ball incident which landed him a 3-match ban. It seems some people will never learn. Watch the footage below…
