Liverpool Go Top of U18 Group: Liverpool 4 Wolverhampton 0

In a group comprising the likes of Manchester United, Everton and Manchester City, the talent pool at the red half of Merseyside is brimming with talent.

Not only Liverpool’s recent return to form under Kenny Dalglish is keeping the spirits up at Liverpool, with Liverpool’s youngsters also giving the crowd reason to cheer after securing a 4-0 victory against the Wolverhampton under 18s. A convincing display that showed, like the first team have showed recently, the general togetherness of the team.

An early strike from startlet Toni Silva and a wonderfully worked second-half hat-trick from super sub Michael Ngoo helped Liverpool to cruise past Wolves as the Reds moved to within two points of leaders Everton.

Liverpool were dominant throughout the match and managed to make the most of their chances to go top of Everton.

Renewed hope for Liverpool? Certainly looks like it.
