Transfers Not To Blame For Arsenal’s Season

Well, if there was an easier season for Arsenal to win the Premier League, I just think that Stoke City might pip them to the title, and that is if Nottingham Forest is the only other team in the league 1-0 to the Rugby Team That chorus rang around the whole Britannia Stadium, well, for […]

Arsenal have once again come up short when it matters at the business end of the season, but where did it all go wrong?

Is It Problems in The Transfer Department?

Well, what Arsenal need to do is spend wisely, not spend crazily. But the question is, is what Arsene Wenger currently doing wrong in any way? You can’t exactly blame him for saving up for the future, it is in fact a wonderful blueprint for success, but I guess, somewhere along the lines it just hasn’t worked out.

I personally think, as a neutral, that it’s not because the players he bought aren’t good, you look at the signings before you have watched them play, Chamakh and Squilacci were both quality players at their former clubs. It’s more about the productivity of the players who were brought in, whether it be not up to scratch or simply not able to play in the biggest league in the world.

And To Fix The Problems?

I think what Arsenal need is a breath of fresh air in the managerial department, for too long Arsene Wenger has been taking the blame for his players, not for once criticizing his players’ performances.

I think what Arsenal have is a ‘Rafa Benitez’ situation. Yes, I am referring to Benitez in this situation because in some ways it is true. Forget Wenger’s legacy, just look at what has happened recently, doesn’t that remind you of Benitez’s final 2 years at Liverpool?

The slumps, taking the blame for players, the big game victories yet the losses against relatively smaller sides? I think what Arsenal need is their version of a Kenny Dalglish because he could really shake things up at the Emirates.

Trust a typical Liverpool fan to come with such an article, the answer to the queries in your piece are:

NO, Wenger’s Arsenal DOES NOT remind us of Rafa’s final two years, Rafa’s Liverpool regressed in those two years to the point of falling out of the top4, Wenger’s Arsenal have actually cemented themselves in the top3, and in those two years have challenged for the league until the last month, and in those two years have also been to the latter stages of the Cups, this year even going to the Carling Cup final, so you could argue Arsene’s Arsenal are actually getting closer and closer.

Can you just get off this stupid romantic love-in with Kenny, sure he’s had a decent return, and credit to him, but to now somehow make him out to be the “model” reviver – do me a favour please, you guys hounded Hodgson out, he was a good man and manager, but in your high horse wasn’t “big” enough, last I heard West Brom are doing quite well. Sure you have a great “past history”, but what have YOU actually won in the last 5 years?, oh and when did you last win the League? and when have you EVER won the Premier League, so please keep your artilcles for Liverpool unless you have something constructive to say.

    We’re not buying anyone.
Wenger has pledged not to improve the squad. He feels we already have enough depth and Kronke has said he wants to stay Loyal to the Wenger way.
According to Wenger we must have the best squad in the premiership if players like Niklas Bendter cant get a game ?!?!? No Arsene, we don’t play Bendtner because he’s sh1t.

    U r wrong mr. writer.

No quality player will come for free and less than 10mil.

Arsene brought just average players, that’s Y they can’t perform.

And our manager is not intersted to sign good players. So he is not looking for that. He is looking only average and cheap always. That’s the problem.

So always Transfers To Blame For Arsenal’s Season…

I love the headline because it’s absolutely true. Wenger’s lack of tactical prowess and insistence of playing such a negative formation (why do we need three central midfielders against lesser opposition when an extra man is needed upfront) is what has cost us this season. Sure, our squad is saturated with mediocre players, but in such a poor Premier League this year, even they could have romped home.

The 4-5-1/4-6-0 formation must be scrapped! Play Theo upfront with van Persie and be more direct and we’ll be all the better for it.

Wenger won’t do this though, which is why he must GO! HE MUST GO! HE MUST GO! HE MUST GO!!!

what total rubbish you just sprouted,a poor premier league?funny when teams like arsenal chelsea man utd don’t perform to thier best it down to it being a poor league and not the average clubs like spurs stoke man city have fastly improved.
arsenal have loads of average players ? don’t every club? man utd will win the league but they only got a few top players, and most of them are retireing, liverpool have only a few top players so have chelsea and man city, what normally happens teams mould to gether, and work for each other, but when you get players who think they better then they really are like bendtner or just pure lazy like arshavin then you have problems, which i think you will find wenger will sort out, in the summer, arshavin will go and bendtner will be told to grow up and realise he still got a lot to learn or go.

My fellow Arsenal fans lets try to move forward and agree to have a manager that will buy quality. It’s 2011 you have to spend to improve and challenge for cups and medals . If Wenger won’t do this the obvious thing to do is to thank him for what he has done in the past and ask him to leave. And for all you AKBEST fans go to hell you bunch of snobie nose pigs
