Arsene, Your Words Have Lost All Meaning….

Well, the deed is done. City have knocked us out of third place. Carlos Tevez scored a cracker of a goal, and by all means that goal probably deserves to get a team up the table. This time its cost us. I have to say that City is a team which have been built in the exact opposite way from which Arsenal have been built, and yet they shall qualify for the champions league leaving us to go through the qualifiers…

I cannot say that we did into have it coming. We have had it coming from day 1 when N’gog flashed one past Almunia. Our manager has failed to live up to his word. He said that the main reason for our title failure last season is that we conceded 41 goals, and that is too much for a championship side, well here we are having conceded 41 goals and this is from 37 games.

I read this on Le Grove a few days ago :

Remember, our manager is holding onto his job purely based on past glories. In fact, he’s only being indulged in a project everyone can see is failing because the club and the fans feel they owe him an enormous debt.

At retrospection now I realise how right the author was. Wenger is a man who has kept his place in this club only because of his past glories. Just think about one thing. Would any other man who managed Arsenal FC instead of AW be allowed to keep his post? Some managers have been sacked because of their failure to complete their objectives. For a team like Arsenal, at present it has become such a ‘disgusting’ situation that our objective is to qualify for the champions league only. Well done Arsene, Mission complete.

Embarrassed to call myself an Arsenal fan, No. But embarrassed to see my club in such a position, Yes. I have no clue what the manager plans for this summer, but if he plans to follow his usual crappy summer policy then we can surely expect no champions league football in the 2012-13 season.

Even after the Carling Cup final I had hoped that this team would have the mental strength to man-up and win something this season. Well, why shouldn’t you when your own manager says that Arsenal can do the quadruple ?

Huh, the quadruple…

I have never been so disappointed in Arsenal FC in my life. We could have won the title, and we could have ended this issue once and for all. 4-4 and 0-1 against the Toon. 2-3 and 2-2 against West Brom. 1-1 and 1-1 against Sunderland. 2-3 and 3-3 against “the team who think they know how to play football.” It’s an absolute disgrace. To us fans, to the club and to what this club stands for…. 5 points from 24.

Every year we have heard that Arsenal is a team which is growing. A team which is developing and becoming more mature. Sadly after this season, I realise that these are just hollow words by the manager. He has never looked into the squad intently, and he has never tried to figure out what has gone wrong. Because logically, if he had, then I am quite sure a man of his knowledge would have identified what is the problem, and how to deal with it.

His words are just empty and I have no idea what to believe any more. He has acted on assumptions, and has not tried ‘To catch the bull by its horns.’ Assuming that the team has grown and matured when quite clearly it hasn’t. Improvement is obvious, because when you play at the top level, be it Arsenal or even Wigan, if players don’t improve they don’t play, and if you don’t play can you call yourself a footballer?

There is so much competition at the top level that if players don’t keep up and improve their game, their career’s may be over before they know it. Improvement and maturity are two different things. Maturity is a part of improvement. But for our manager maturity = improvement, so you will hear him say “ The team has matured, and whatever crap he goes on with…”

Every season is crucial for Arsenal. Why ? Well because every season we expect alot from this side. We have heard that the side is young, and we accepted it. We have heard that the side was immature and we accepted it. But for how long will this continue? How long? From 2007 to 2011, a fucking world cup has gone by and still the side is immature and under developed.

This season the pressure on the manager will mount by at least 5 fold ! Fans are angry and pissed off because their team don’t put it together when it counts. All these years we have accepted that the team is still learning, well, now it HAS TO count – On the 125 anniversary of Arsenal Football Club.

Remember action speaks louder than words. Now can someone please tell this to our manager ?

Yes Wenger is living on past glories but I believe he will pay a price by Christmas at the latest if the gunners fail to challenge.I might be wrong but nobody is indispensable. You are as good as your last game or season.
Indeed Wenger is lucky to survive these six years. Me thinks his luck will run out soon unless the fortunes of Arsenal improve on the pitch.

    What ill written, poorly constructed
Before speaking of the reactionary content you’ve destroyed any possible credibility by not even knowing how to spell “a lot”. It’s two words!!!
Alot is to appoint to someone.
Your content is also as bad as your English and sites of this ilk are the reason we boo our own players. You’re the reason that I’m embarrassed to be an Arsenal fan.
    Please stop.

Terrific comments, you have taken the words out of my mouth. I was going say the same, people who write this sort of rubbish should not be allowed on the web. If this is freedom of speech give me censorship, the writers an ignorant idiot.

welldone12:48 if you read the article for the quality of litrature then plz go and read shakespeare or something, us fans who live in the real world see language as a mean of communication if you get what he means then job done no wonder you lot have turned the stadium in to library.if you AKBs have no objective reason to back your”go support chelsea or citeh” claims then please dont come to these so called doom and gloom blogs. supporters have every right to protest although i dont back extremists or plain stupid football managers who want wenger out.
if you are big and strong (arsenal) but p^$$y inside you become a laughing stock but if you are small and weak(fulham and villa etc) no one cares or expects you to be strong. thats the thing with arsenal everybody expects them to win but when you choke everytime when it matters people laugh at you which is painfull you AKBs don’t understand that.

This is the point – much of the doom and gloom blogosphere is filled with illiterate fools who seem to think that someone actually cares about their ill thought out opinions.
I find it hilarious that you ask someone not to come here and in the same breath tell them people have a right to protest.

      In reply to Welldone

Before coming to the content of your reply, you have also destroyed the little esteem that we fans have to other fellow fans like you. You are also the reason that make me feel embarrassed to be an Arsenal fan, that is having to reply to a fool who thinks writing on a forum needs to be done with all the vocabulary and grammar. That makes me feel as if ideas and opinions do not make more sense that your bloody ” alot”.
I, by the way totally agree with DKD and request you to stop commenting the writing prowess of others but to focus on our footballistic performances.
I feel it is a pretty good content that is difficult to grasp for stupid people like you.And anyone has the right to boo lazy, underperforming, shit players and especially the LIAR we have as manager.

Mr. Welldone, you should comment on the issues raised, and not about spelling and structure of the writing. You give your self away as one of those Aw’s sheep who follow him blindly without shame.

this post has no Depth. you state the obvious, and some score lines that should have gone the other way but its pundits and people in football that are saying our team is maturing not AW. him aswell as other managers think the Arsenal is matured, we just need strengthening in key positions.

and before you say Arsen hasnt done that look who he brought in last summer transfer window- 2 CB and a Big CF, just what we wanted yet we get on there backs the fact that they havent adapted strait away… that sounds very chelsea to me.

this season has been lost not because of the manager NO!!!! but individual mistakes on the pitch, Koscielny against Birmingham CCF, Bendtner against Barca to send us through Sanga against villa, Djurou against stoke, Almunia countless times. Arsen has no control over these mistakes except where i do agree with you… some players arent good enough

Wenger has really built a family with all the players which makes what he has to do harder but it has to be done. players like Djurou, Bendtner, Eboue, Diaby, Almunia, Flappyhandski are not good enough and are costing us points and not gaining us any; once that happens its time to leave.

we have to see what Arsen does this summer, Because i dont see a better manager out there for Arsenal he just has to meke the hard decisions

    • Welldone

      May 20, 2011 at 2:54 pm

I agree with all but Djorou. He is in, what really is, his first full season in the starting lineup and to be honest has coped well for a player of his age and maturity marshalling a partner who is also completely green to the EPL. With TV in the lineup we will see a better player as he can be lead and not lead himself.

      • Andre

        May 20, 2011 at 3:12 pm

a top class CB no matter what age has to have certain attributes and i dont see them in Djurou.

        -Arial ability
        -strength (compared to PL strikers)
        -positional awareness
-and the most important he has to scream shout and dominate his area and he is the most quiet CB in the league

fair enough he has a good recovery but thats not enough

      • Andre

        May 20, 2011 at 3:14 pm

just to add. imagine next season Lukaku vs Djurou :S :S

Wenger is in the last chance saloon, if he doesn’t do what is required for next season then the fans will force him out. we are at the end of putting up with this crap and then they have the front to put the ticket prices up…..are they avin a fuckin laugh!

wenger excuses and words now infuriate me!! he can not motivate players, tactically does not have the ferguson ability, i think there is better managers out there, moyes of everton he has done extremly well under the lack of cash at everton, the blackpool manager, now lets be honest is always honest about the performance of the team you never hear him make excuses, so there is better managers the only reason why wenger remains at arsenal is because he makes money for the shareholders, you then have mourinhio, anchelotti, so there is better managers out there, this summer i dont see many new faces at the club, and to be honest what ever players he brings in will not be big name players with balls to kick arse with the lazy players we have.

    • Andre

      May 20, 2011 at 2:05 pm

so what we’r gunna be bringing in Mourinhio or Moyes to Arsenal?? the reason i said there is no better manager for Arsenal is because i was hoping someone would try and enlighten me on someone who could actually come to arsenal to replace him, once again let down.

but we do need some players to boost the ‘some’ lazy players we have

        May 20, 2011 at 2:15 pm

Andre Martin O’Neil wil be a better replacement for Wenger and he is even available. I mean here is a man who took Aston Villa witout any quality to even challenge Arsenal for top 4 finish since thats wat Wenger delights in

        • Andre

          May 20, 2011 at 2:34 pm

as im from Wycombe i obviously think Martin O’Neil is a legend but he is a manager who is good but not Great. good managers should stay with good teams Great managers should be with great teams. Roy Hodgson and Liverpool come to mind. Arsen is a part of Arsenal and Arsenal is in his heart, i rate that over a goood manager anyday

        • Welldone

          May 20, 2011 at 2:41 pm

I’m sorry but have you watched an O’Neil team play football?
The reason John Carew and Emile Heskey are still playing is due to O’Neil. Long ball rubbish. He has talents and I dont’ dispute that but his football is ugly and basic. Would you rather we play ugly football and potentially finish outside the top four just to remove the best manager MY club has ever seen?

Wenger should change his policy of dependence on tenager players inorder to be successful and stay in ARSENAL

  8. mr creosote

    May 20, 2011 at 2:01 pm

Wenger has tried to create something special, realising that the club couldn’t compete financially with other, wealthier clubs has opted to recruit young players and develop them in a specific way. He’s tried to do something akin to what Barca have done, but it hasn’t quite worked out. YET. We’re still competitive though, people forget that. The difference between us and Barca (the best team in the world) is that they supplement an amazing youth policy with big name purchases. With our move to the new stadium and the debt that that entailed, we haven’t been in the position to compete with other clubs on signing the really big names. As we pay off our debts we will be able to buy and add quality to our team, mirroring the approach made by Barca, and I think, mirroring their success. This will pay off in the long run, it’s just sad that so many people cant see it and are making a lot of fuss about a few missed chances.

    • Gil Int

      May 20, 2011 at 2:12 pm

then if so, we should not sell our big name players when they mature.Barca never sold Iniesta, Xavi, Messi and their other players when they were maturing. They also bought quality and experience to supplement. But Wenger buys experience but not quality to supplement the Arsenal team

      • Welldone

        May 20, 2011 at 2:44 pm

Who have we sold when they mature? Hleb? Adebayor? Bischoff?
        Please explain?

    May 20, 2011 at 2:08 pm

Welldone and Andre, i will never agree wit u people. Arsene is living on past glories and this team is never improving. they don’t learn from their past mistakes come to think of improving on them. How can a team score 4 goals in the space of 27 minutes and sit down for the other team to equalise. it has never happened in football history. again to score 2 at first half and allow your bitter rivals to equalize and even add another to win the match is what u people call maturity and mental strength. In Arsene We Rust not In Arsene We Trust again

    • Welldone

      May 20, 2011 at 2:49 pm

      Re Newcastle.
      A) It’s called momentum.
      B) We had a player sent off for being a idiot. His fault and he should full take the blame.
      C) the equaliser will be goal of the season.
These are called circumstances and some times those make everything you do impossible to work against. It happens.

You guys are such wankers !!!

Wenger … yes he did mistakes this season but nobody is perfect even Mourinho can make some flaws. If Arsene was to leave The Gunners the team would collapse all the players on our team with few exceptions are not real madrid or manchester city sell out group of all stars that still can’t win a proper trophy. Our boys are young and the only menager in the world that can lead them is Arsene.

Arsene Wenger’s Red and White Army … WE HATE TOTTENHAM !!!!
