United Striker Linked With Shock £7.5m Move

Some really interesting transfer gossip lately as it has emerged that Newcastle are apparently in the race to sign Manchester United’s Dimitar Berbatov.

The Guardian confirms that United are ‘yet to exercise a one-way option to extend his contract by 12 months’ and reports that they are seemingly set on losing their Bulgarian striker. They however don’t report anything about a potential move to the toon….

It is in fact The Sun who thinks that the move might actually happen. Toon Boss Alan Padrew is ‘ready to meet United’s £7.5million valuation.’ After all, they had that 35 million pounds left over from when they sold Andy Carroll to Liverpool so I’m pretty sure splashing 7.5 million on this season’s co-golden boot winner ain’t that bad of an idea after all.

The question though is: Will Berbatov want to join Newcastle United? I personally think that he won’t and I personally don’t get why Newcastle would want him, from the dressing room problems to the motivational problems, it might not exactly be the best idea depending on the kind of form and mood he will be in if he moves to Newcastle.

But he’s still a quality player on his day, and he’s (sort of) proved that this season. Will he, won’t he: Comments section below!
